Registering With Alberta Health

After you complete all registration requirements, the ACO office sends an official notice to the Alberta College of Pharmacists (for authorization to write pharmaceutical prescriptions) and to Health & Wellness Practitioner Registry (to inform them of your status as a licensed practitioner).  This is usually completed within 1-2 days of completing your registration requirements.

You would then be responsible for contacting Alberta Practitioner Registry (780-422-1522) yourself to set up your billing information (billing number and business arrangement).  All optometrists must bill Alberta Health Care through their own billing number.
