ACO Jurisprudence Preparatory Material
The ACO Jurisprudence Exam is comprised of 50 questions (30 multiple choice and 20 true/false). The questions are derived from the Health Professions Act (including Schedule 17), the Optometrists Profession Regulation, the ACO Bylaws, the ACO Standards of Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines, the ACO Continuing Education Requirement and the ACO Continuing Competence Program. The exam is closed book. No additional notes, books, cellphones, etc. are allowed in the room when taking the exam.
The exam may be written at the ACO office in Edmonton; or, at the private office of one of our Registration Committee members in Calgary. Please contact the ACO office directly to schedule a time and date that is convenient for you. Once you completed the exam, the results are usually available within 1-3 days of receipt at the ACO office.
